ESPN’s Pete Thamel gave the latest intel on Will Rogers and D.J. Uiagalelei’s prospects within the transfer portal.

Rogers and Uiagalelei left Mississippi State and Oregon State, respectively. As for the former Bulldog, he could stay in the Pacific Northwest while the Beavers’ signal caller could find himself in a familiar situation.

As of now, Rodgers is closer to committing to his new spot.

“As for Will Rogers, he’s thrown for 12,000 career yards in his four seasons at Mississippi State,” Thamel said on College Football Live. “He is on the cusp of a new landing address. Rogers is visiting Washington this weekend. I’m told he arrives late Thursday. There’s strong mutual interest between both Rogers and Washington and a very good chance he could be Michael Penix’s replacement in Seattle after the Huskies CFP season is over. Rogers has 94 touchdown passes.”

Rogers lit it up during his four seasons at Mississippi State. Over the course of his career, he has 12,315 yards, 94 touchdowns, 28 interceptions and a 69.3% completion percentage.

With Rogers likely staying out west, Uiagalelei could be headed back to the ACC, but it’s dependent on another quarterback.

“As for our friend DJ Uiagalelei, he’ll be on his way to Tallahassee this weekend,” Thamel said. “His visit will come after Washington State quarterback Cam Ward’s visit to Tallahassee. Cam Ward has already been to Miami earlier this season. Could DJ be back in the ACC? He brings 8,000 passing yards and 57 touchdowns with him.”

Uiagalelei’s stat line didn’t jump off the page, but he had his moments with the Beavers this season. He finished with 2,683 yards, 21 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 57.1% completion percentage.

Over the course of his career with Clemson and Oregon State, Uiagalelei has 8,319 yards, 57 touchdowns, 24 interceptions and a 59.1% completion percentage.

On3’s Pete Nakos recently confirmed Uiagalelei was taking a visit to Tallahassee to see the Florida State program over the weekend. The Seminoles will be looking to find a Jordan Travis successor and continue the good run Mike Norvell has been on.

“I have a good idea what I want to find out, what I want to ask, I’m just excited to get down there,” Uiagalelei said via ESPN. “I have only been there for a game, I’ve never taken a visit there before in high school. So, I’m excited to talk to Coach Norvell, all the coaching staff there and see Tallahassee.”
