Zoom Diallo, the No. 25 overall in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings, is ready to announce his college decision. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound four-star point guard of Prolific Prep (CA) will make his commitment on December 23rd.

The Tacoma, Washington native is set to choose between four programs — Arizona, Gonzaga, USC, and Washington.

Diallo talks finalists

In a previous interview with On3, Zoom Diallo broke down his final four schools.

Arizona: “Their ability and their play style are something that I like and are appealing. Tommy Lloyd’s message to me has been great, really. Just the fact that he has the trust in me to come in and lead his program. He has let me know that he feels I am the guy who can come in and play point guard for him in my recruiting class. He instills in me that he just wants me to come in and have an impact.”

Gonzaga: ““Gonzaga has been consistent with me. They’re another hometown school, a national powerhouse. They have been winning a lot, and they are known for winning. Coach (Mark) Few has been great with me.”

USC: “With USC, Coach (Andy) Enfield has been heavily recruiting me. With the potential of Isaiah Collier leaving, they want another guard to come in and lead the team.”

Washington: “I already had a close relationship with Coach (Will) Conroy,” Diallo said. “But going on the visit, I actually got closer with him, with the whole staff, really. I was there for a couple of days, so that was good…Coach (Mike) Hopkins has just been telling me that he wants me to be the point guard who comes in and has an immediate impact. He has been recruiting me since my freshman year, and he really trusts me. They’re the hometown school, and they really want me to stay home.”

Scouting Report

“Zoom Diallo is a physically developed point guard with good length and broad shoulders. He plays with a confidence on the ball and at his own pace. He is capable of getting into the paint and finishing through contact. He uses a crafty change of pace with a hard dribble. In viewings, Diallo has seemed most comfortable as a score-first lead guard. Diallo can be a slick passer, sneaking passes into tight spaces at times. He does have range as a jump shooter, looking most comfortable off the bounce. He needs to reign in his shot selection. Much of his offense can be all the way at the rim or off-balanced beyond the arc. Will sometimes opt for a tough shot over the right read. Has a good change of pace which enhances his first step.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
