Patriot Nation - George Mason Patriots Collective

The Patriot Nation Collective, founded in May 2022, claims to be the country’s first player-directed collective. “We connect George Mason University student-athletes with valuable NIL opportunities,” the Patriot Nation’s website says. “Our mission is to create one of the most vibrant NIL markets in the country and to ensure our athletes are involved in opportunities that benefit their personal, professional and financial growth.” The collective is comprised of local business leaders who are interested in providing recurring NIL opportunities for George Mason University student-athletes. The collective also manages The Mason Player’s Club, a member’s only organization that generates opportunities for fans of George Mason men’s basketball to interact with their favorite players. The collective says all of its participating athletes serve on its advisory board to provide guidance and “ensure we are aligned with their interests.”
