The Thunder Trust - Marshall Thundering Herd Collective

AUG 8, 20230 UPDATE: The Thunder Trust appears to be back in operations as its social media accounts are soliciting donations. MAY 15, 2023 UPDATE: The Thunder Trust is no longer operating as an official Marshall collective, according to an employee. It’s unclear whether or not the collective will resurface under a different leadership group. PREVIOUS INFORMATION: Marshall-focused NIL collective The Thunder Trust was founded in August 2022 with a focus on connecting Thundering Herd student-athletes with businesses and other nonprofit organizations. “Our collective helps keep Marshall Athletics competitive by providing NIL opportunities for student-athletes while allowing them to remain dedicated students and athletes,” collective leaders say. “Our organized efforts aim to raise the profile of student-athletes and their programs and deepen community engagement through our partnerships.” The Thunder Trust says it will work with all the sports at Marshall, but football and men's basketball are a priority focus.
