Hailey Van Lith has had no shortage of NIL deals since the NCAA adopted its interim policy in July 2021.

The Louisville women’s basketball player has inked partnerships with adidas, Dick’s Sporting Goods and the Billionaire Girls Club, to just name a few.

Originally from Wenatchee, Washington, she’s quickly emerged as one of the top players in the college ranks. She was part of the 2020 recruiting class that include now UConn star Paige Bueckers, Stanford star Cameron Brink and reigning Big Ten Player of the Year Caitlin Clark.

She’s the only one in the group, however, who can say Jack Harlow wore her jersey at one of his concert. Kentucky’s own, the 24-year-old rapper donned the black and red jersey at the Forecastle music festival at Waterfront Park in Louisville back in May.

Sitting down at ACC basketball media days earlier this week, the 5-foot-7 point guard admitted she was starstruck seeing pictures of Harlow wearing her jersey.

“I mean, I love Jack,” she said on Tuesday. “He shows us love and I feel like — that’s super special to me and means a lot to me. To show you’re invested in women’s sports and Louisville basketball because it’s always like, ‘Oh, football team and the men’s basketball team.’ He really shows us a lot of love.

“I didn’t know he was going to wear my jersey. I got on Twitter and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. Mom, go look at Twitter right now.’ It was awesome. Hopefully we can get him to a game or with the team a little bit. I was starstruck for the first time in my life.”

While it’s a moment she won’t forget, it shows how much Van Lith’s brand has grown since 2021. Named the the NCAA Wichita Regional Most Outstanding Player this past season, she ranked sixth in the ACC with 15.4 points a game. She also helped lead the Cardinals to their first Final Four berth since 2018.

Hailey Van Lith’s soaring NIL Valuation

The Louisville star holds one of the top On3 NIL Valuations in college sports. With a $544,000 evaluation, Van Lith ranks No. 8 among women’s basketball players. She also falls at No. 74 in the NIL 100, which serves as the defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked based upon their On3 NIL Valuations.

Thanks to her on-court success, Van Lith has grown her social media following to more than 768,000. The brunt of her followers are on Instagram, with 696,000. Her per post value sits at $7,400.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard NIL market value for high school and college athletes. It uses a proprietary algorithm that calculates an athlete’s NIL market value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories, including an athlete’s performance, influence and evaluation.

While the algorithm includes NIL deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for the athlete’s entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL market value for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
