After transferring to Penn State, Julian Fleming is ready to help the Nittany Lions’ new-look offense. The goal will be to “crush the competition” — which was also the theme of an ad he starred in for a local Jeep dealership.

Fleming partnered with Blaise Alexander Family Dealership through NIL, and he stole the show in a commercial released last week. In the ad, Fleming “crushes the competition” by smashing a windshield, flipping a car and driving a Jeep onto another car.

The video quickly made its way across social media, and On3’s Andy Staples called it the best NIL ad of the year so far.

“That is how you make an NIL ad,” Staples said on Tuesday’s edition of Andy Staples On3. “That is how you get everybody in the country retweeting your NIL ad.”

Fleming’s deal with Blaise Alexander is one of his first known NIL deals since he transferred to Penn State from Ohio State. He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $205,000, which ranks No. 345 in the On3 College Football NIL Rank.

Fleming was one of the biggest additions for the Nittany Lions, who made quite a splash at offensive coordinator in former Kansas OC Andy Kotelnicki to replace Mike Yurcich. By landing Fleming out of the transfer portal, Penn State has an exciting weapon to try and get Drew Allar on track after an up-and-down 2023 season.

Last year at Ohio State, Julian Fleming hauled in 26 receptions for 270 yards in 12 games. It was a tough follow-up to an impressive 2022 season in which he had 34 receptions for 533 yards and six touchdowns, and he came in as the No. 23-ranked wide receiver transfer in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

About the On3 NIL Valuation

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.
