Ahead of the Georgia High School Association football semifinals on Friday night, two of the biggest prospects in the Peach State are starring in a new NIL campaign.

Five-star recruits KJ Bolden and Sammy Brown inked endorsement contracts with Super Patch Company. In early October, the Georgia High School Association amended its bylaws to allow high school student-athletes to participate in NIL without losing their eligibility. Bolden and Brown are among the first Peach State prep stars to take advantage of change.

Executed on the Icon Source platform, On3 ELITE assisted in bringing the athletes and brand together. Through the agreement, Bolden and Brown promoted the technology on their social media channels.

Super Patch has uniquely arranged ridges that look like a QR code. When those ridges touch the skin, cells transmit unique signals that interact with the body’s nervous system. According to the company’s website, Super Patch can improve recovery and focus for athletes. The brand produces specific patches for basketball, baseball, football, golf, hockey, running, soccer and tennis.

“Through Icon Source’s next-level technology, we were able to transact with these athletes,” On3 ELITE’s Grant Frerking said. “On3 does not make money off these deals, ensuring athletes receive 100% of the dollars. Our first deal is in the high school football ranks but On3 ELITE will span across all sports.”

On3 ELITE is a division of On3’s media company that connects high school and college athletes and facilitates non-exclusive partnerships between brands with 100% of the dollars going to the athlete. The On3 ELITE platform is built for all athletes.

“Wrapping up our second college football season, we’re excited to launch On3 ELITE,” On3 founder and CEO Shannon Terry said. “From the founding of this company, the On3 ELITE Division was always going to be part of the plan. While we work with brands to bring safe NIL deals to the space, ELITE will use its resources to educate athletes.”

The third phase of On3’s rollout, the On3 ELITE app launches in Quarter 1 of 2024. On3 has developed an extensive algorithm to establish an annual NIL Valuation for college and elite high school athletes. The On3 NIL Valuation has quickly become the industry standard for the NIL marketplace and college athletes across the country.

Through the app, athletes can claim their On3 profile to unlock a data-rich experience that allows each member of the network to see the detail behind their own NIL valuation, report and verify NIL deals to build that value and see how that valuation changes based on which school they attend or are considering.

Icon Source assisted with the Super Patch deal, providing its NIL platform to execute the agreement. On3 ELITE also amplified Super Patch’s NIL campaign, signing contracts with Smith and Boley.

“We are happy to partner with On3 Elite in their inaugural deal being executed on the Icon Source platform with two great Georgia high school athletes and one of our trusted brands, Super Patch,” Icon Source CEO Chase Garrett said.

Super Patch makes sense for KJ Bolden, Sammy Brown

Bolden and Brown are two of the most highly-touted names in the 2024 recruiting class. A Five-Star Plus+ safety out of Buford, Georgia, Bolden committed to Florida State in August. Known for his versatility – he’s also a track star – the 6-foot, 185-pound recruit holds an On3 NIL Valuation of $433,000. Buford fell in last week’s quarterfinal round.

Brown’s state title hopes are still alive. The five-star Clemson linebacker commit will lead his Jefferson High School team in the state semifinals on Friday night. Brown has rushed for 2,155 yards while tallying 141 total tackles and 11 tackles for loss.

Entering Friday night’s Class 5A semifinals, Brown has a $347,000 On3 NIL Valuation. He’s led the Dragons to a 13- record on the season.

“The whole process of getting this deal set up was very easy for me and one that I had a lot of trust in,” Brown said. “I know that the guys at On3 did their research and were not going to put me in a bad situation. It is very cool to see On3 helping out the athletes and giving them these great opportunities without the risk of consequences.”
