North Carolina players Leaky Black and Armando Bacot nearly won a national title this past season.

Now the two Tar Heel teammates will be partners in Black’s latest NIL deal.

The fifth-year small forward has signed a partnership with Chapel Hill’s Town Hall Grill, the restaurant announced on Instagram. As part of the deal, Black will make multiple appearances at the restaurant throughout the school year. He’ll also have his own menu item — the Lock Down Leaky Chicken Tenders.

A former four-star recruit, Black typically orders the chicken tenders at Town Hall. He’ll now have his tenders on the menu, featuring two distinct flavors: roasted garlic bleu cheese and a mango poblano barbecue.

“Our partnership with Leaky will be focused on two main things: Collaborating together on a special menu item and hosting events, watch parties and meet and greets that bring Tar Heel fans together,” the restaurant said in a press release.

Last year, Bacot signed a deal with Chapel Hill’s Town Hall Grill as the the two created the “Mondo Burger.” The beef patty comes topped with onion straws, applewood smoked bacon, barbecue sauce, smoked gouda cheese and lettuce on a brioche bun.

Bacot and Black are now back for their final years at North Carolina, hoping to secure the national championship they nearly won in April when the Tar Heels fell in the national championship game 72-69 to Kansas.

A 6-foot-10 center, Bacot emerged as a star in college basketball last season. He earned first-team All-ACC honors as he averaged 16.1 points and 13.1 rebounds, which ranked third in the country.

All of that has led to NIL success off the court. Bacot has an acting roll in season three of the popular Netflix show “Outer Banks.”

Leaky Black’s On3 NIL Valuation

Leaky Black holds an On3 NIL evaluation of $134,000, which places him at No. 49 in the college basketball NIL rankings. He averaged 4.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists as a full-time starter this past season.

He also amassed over 100,000 social media followers — a perk of playing in front of North Carolina’s major fanbase. Black holds a per post value of $1,200.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
