Nyck Harbor has inked his first trading card deal.

The South Carolina receiver and former five-star has signed an NIL deal with TruSport, a branch of the trading card brand TruCreator. The rising freshman has signed a non-exclusive deal and has been given creative control over his trading cards.

As part of the NIL agreement, Harbor receives a fee per autograph and a 50% royalty on unsigned cards, Everett Sports Marketing’s Dan Everett told On3. Four cards have already been released.

Posing with shoulder pads and track cleats, the cards reflect Harbor’s two-sport talent and pays homage to the famous Bo Jackson ad with Nike. While he was the top athlete in the 2023 recruiting cycle, he is also an Olympic hopeful. Last August, he ran a 10.22-second 100-meter time and a 20.95-second 200-meter time. He recorded a 6.70-second 60-meter time in February.

Harbor’s holographic autograph card is selling for $74.95, with the basic cards going for $9.95.

“We are excited to release Nyck Harbor’s first-ever trading card under our TruSport line,” TruCreator co-founders Jesse Riedel, James Riedel and Kris London told On3 in a statement. “As a two-sport athlete for football and track, Nyck will be a dynamic athlete for South Carolina and fans at large to watch for years.”

Facilitated by the South Carolina-focused sports marketing agency Park Avenue, Harbor has signed three NIL deals in the last 10 days. Park Ave has procured all three partnerships. The agency focuses on delivering endorsement deals solely to South Carolina athletes. Attorney Darren Heitner assisted with legal for the TruSport deal.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound receiver promoted Beats by Dre on his Instagram account, and he has signed on as an ambassador for the fragrance brand Ovation for Men Sport.

“Working with high-profile talent like Nyck challenges you to not only provide marketing opportunities but to be cognizant of his brand,” Park Ave director Chaise Belt told On3.

Nyckoles Harbor’s rising On3 NIL Valuation

The No. 21 prospect in the On3 Industry rankings in the 2023 cycle will play receiver this fall for the Gamecocks. He had a standout senior season, recorded 251 yards and three touchdowns on five receptions in October for Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll.

Nyckoles Harbor holds a $346,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks in the top 25 of On3’s high school football NIL rankings. His valuation would rank in the top 150 college football NIL rankings, too. The receiver has seen an uptick of $37,000 over the last 10 weeks.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
