Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman entered into an NIL agreement with the disaster relief and infrastructure support company Cotton Holdings, Inc.

“Conner Weigman is such an exciting, dynamic player, who shares Cotton’s passion for teamwork,” Cotton Holdings Chief Legal Officer Jeff Erler said in a statement. “We’re excited to support Conner and the Texas Aggies and cannot wait to see what this season has in store.”

As a freshman last season, Weigman started four games and he appeared in a fifth. For the season, he completed 73 of 132 attempts (55.3%) for 896 yards, eight touchdowns and zero interceptions. His best performance came in the second game of his college career when he completed 28 of 44 attempts for 338 yards and four touchdowns against Ole Miss.

Cotton Holdings is based in Houston, and Weigman went to high school in the area playing at Cypress Bridgeland. The press release said the company has provided support both on Texas A&M’s campus and in the Bryan-College Station area.

A press release said that in addition to the NIL deal with Weigman, the company reached a “long-term corporate partnership” with Texas A&M Athletics.

“Cotton’s relationship with Texas A&M is one with a lot of history,” Erler said. “Cotton is proud to have many current and former Aggies among our employee ranks, and we have partnered with A&M many times through the years to provide our full suite of services when they’ve needed a helping hand.”

Cotton Holdings will be the presenting sponsor for the Southwest Classic Game, which is Texas A&M’s rivalry game against Arkansas in September. The game will be played in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The company will also sponsor the Aggies’ regular-season home finale against Abilene Christian on Nov. 18.

Texas A&M will promote Cotton Holdings through advertisements at field level, as well as an LED banner.

Conner Weigman’s On3 NIL Valuation

Conner Weigman was a member of Texas A&M’s 2022 recruiting class, which was rated as the best ever in the modern recruiting era. The Aggies’ recruiting class ranked No. 1 nationally, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, after they signed nine five-star prospects, which was one more than Alabama and Georgia combined.

Weigman was one of those five-star recruits. He ranked as the No. 4 quarterback prospect nationally and the No. 29 overall recruit, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Weigman has an On3 NIL Valuation of $126,000.

The On3 NIL Valuation utilizes a proprietary algorithm to calculate a high school or college athlete’s projected annual value in the NIL landscape. It incorporates a Brand Value Index and Roster Value Index.

Brand Value Index accounts for regional and national sponsorships, while Roster Value Index factors in the role of NIL collectives nationally.

The On3 NIL Valuation doesn’t act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals that an athlete has signed to date.
