Trevor Etienne is making the most of his NIL situation.

The Florida running back is the younger brother of NFL running back Travis Etienne. Thanks to name, image and likeness, the tailbacks are working together in an endorsement deal.

Ellianos Coffee, a drive-through coffee shop chain throughout the Southeast, tapped the brothers to launch its line of energy drinks. Prior to playing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Travis Etienne set the ACC all-time rushing yards record at Clemson.

Together Travis and Trevor are appearing in a marketing campaign for Ellianos. Dubbed “Ellianos Edge,” the two energy drink flavors play up the Etienne brothers: the Jag Edge and Gator Edge. The flavors are being exclusively sold at Ellianos locations in Jacksonville and Gainesville.

“The Etienne brothers perfectly embody the spirit of unity, determination, and family,” Ellianos Coffe founder Scott Stewart said in a statement. “They represent what it truly means to be a family, pushing each other toward greatness just as we at Ellianos have grown with the support of our family. My sons, Chad and Mike, who work with the company and own several franchises, are a testament that family lies at the core of our business.”

Ellianos currently has 39 stores open and 110 more in development. It’s a unique deal, too, as a brand is able to capitalize on a set of brothers at two different levels of football. Travis Etienne was never able to capitalize on his name, image and likeness. Now his brother can.

The two also shot a promotional video together for the campaign.

“Ellianos has always been a community brand,” said Greg Pruitt, Ellianos Coffee’s vice president of marketing and strategic communications. “Our stronghold in Jacksonville and our recent venture in Gainesville show our commitment to serving quality coffee while being part of the local community. Joining forces with Travis and Trevor Etienne, prominent figures in both these areas, only reinforces our commitment and makes this partnership an ideal blend.”

Trevor Etienne’s growing NIL brand

Trevor Etienne had a breakout 2022 season, finishing with the fourth most rushing yards by a true freshman tailback in Florida history. Earning Freshman All-SEC honors, he averaged 6.1 yards per carry.

Etienne got off to a slow start to the season, carrying the ball seven times for 25 yards in the Week 1 loss at Utah. But he bounced back this past weekend, rushing for his first touchdown of the year while racking up 84 yards.

The 5-foot-9, 205-pound tailback from Jennings, Louisiana, will play a large role when Tennessee visits The Swamp this weekend. Working closely with Sam Leaf at the Ballengee Group, he’s building out an NIL portfolio, too. He partnered with GAMEDAY Products last year and has signed with the Gator-driven NIL collective Florida Victorious

He released a limited edition collectible before the Utah game with Gataverse, an OpenLocker fan community. The autographed card grants access to a meet-and-greet with the Etienne.

Trevor Etienne has built a major brand with nearly 70,000 social media followers. He also has a $139,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks in the top 500 of the college football NIL rankings

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
