Total Player Value Inc. today announced that it is launching a data, insights and analytics business that will provide business intelligence around Name, Image and Likeness to universities, collectives, conferences, brands and businesses that are investing in college athletes.

Total Player Value, in partnership with On3 Media, will have exclusive access to the key data points around the On3 NIL Valuation, which has become the industry-accepted standard for college and high school athlete value. Total Player Value will also add quality, rich data that will provide clients visibility into the athlete marketplace.

Industry veteran Jeff Cravens, who has worked with On3 for the past year, is founding the company. Cravens has a 30-year career in the sports and digital space having built the FANSonly Network, beRecruited and GoFan digital high school ticketing into successful businesses. On3 will maintain an equity position in the new venture.

“As the collegiate model and athlete compensation continue to evolve, there is a need for quality analytics and insights that will help key stakeholders build and shape the future,” Cravens said. “We will aggregate quality data and deliver benchmarking and detailed athlete data to our customers so that they can make informed business decisions. Understanding and utilizing athlete value are critical for competitive and business success.”

Total Player Value will create custom reports for schools, collectives and conferences that features school-wide On3 NIL Valuation data, as well as detailed social media data and profiles of every athlete of that school with a baseline following. Additional data sets will be added in 2024.

“We are focused on continuing rapid development of On3, the On3 NIL Valuations and our On3 Elite platform,” said Shannon Terry, Founder and CEO of On3. “We wanted to maintain our focus, and Jeff is well-suited to build this data business in partnership with On3.”
