Jeff Brohm is preparing for Year 3 with Louisville in 2025. After starting his time with the Cardinals with two promising campaigns, combining to go 19-8 thus far, the 54-year old coach will be looking for more this coming season.

With that in mind, FanDuel Sportsbook has released the over/under as it pertains to wins for many of the sport’s top teams for the 2025 campaign. Louisville’s number has been set at 8.5, and that’ll be their benchmark for this coming season.

Whether Louisville reaches that number or not will depend on their quarterback play. Coming over from USC via the transfer portal, Miller Moss was tabbed as the man to lead the Cardinals in 2025, and he brings a lot to the table.

Moss has been in big game spots throughout his career, but opted to go elsewhere for his final collegiate season. Brohm’s been good at developing quarterbacks in his time as a head coach, and the two seem like a good pairing. If the Cardinals are going to compete for the ACC in 2025, they’ll need Moss at his best.

“I think he can throw a good football, he’s played a lot of games, he has a ton of experience,” Brohm stated, earlier this offseson. “(Miller’s) had ups and downs, kind of like Tyler (Shough), kind of like Jack (Plummer), but I think he’s played against good football teams, and he’s been battle tested, and I think he’s picked up what we’ve done to this point very well.

“I think he’s a leader in a different way than Tyler, but he’s a very good leader, and he wants to go out on this last year with a bang and to play really good football and to play at a high level. And we want to help him do that.”

Last season, Moss tried to capitalize on the hype he received following the Holiday Bowl at the end of the 2023 season. All told, Moss passed for 2,555 yards, 18 touchdowns, nine interceptions and a 64.4% completion percentage.

“So he’s definitely bought in to put in the work in and really trying to gel and mess with our receiver to this point and he understands that this is a year that he wants to go out and show people what he can do,” Brohm said. “So we definitely feel excited about what we think he brings to the table for our team.”

In 2024, the Cardinals posted an 8-4 record in the regular season. Tyler Shough was the team’s starting quarterback, and he ended up being drafted in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The bar has been set high for Moss.

Regardless, Louisville will remain one of the more interesting teams to watch in 2025. Whether or not they punch above their 8.5 mark set by FanDuel remains to be seen, but bet against Jeff Brohm’s team at your own risk.
