San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was arrested Thursday in Los Angeles for resisting a peace officer, according to TMZ Sports. TMZ law enforcement sources revealed LA police approached Lenoir and another man because the pair were double-parked and blocking traffic on Thursday, suspecting criminal activity, per TMZ.

Upon investigation, police noticed a gun in the other man’s vehicle. During the interaction with police, the other man allegedly tossed his car keys to Lenior, who refused to hand the keys to the cops when asked, according to TMZ, leading to his own arrest for resisting a peace officer.

Lenoir was arrested around 5:30 p.m. PT on Thursday. He was released Friday morning with a court appearance set for July.

Lenoir was selected out of Oregon in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and has been a reliable member of the 49ers’ secondary, so much so that he signed a five-year, $92 million extension last season. The 5-foot-10 Lenoir has racked up 265 combined tackles and six interceptions across four NFL seasons with the 49ers.

Deommodore Lenoir calls out C.J. Gardner-Johnson, says Deebo Samuel backed up his trash talk

Detroit Lions safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was the unlucky recipient of the 49ers’ taunting following their win in the 2024 NFC Conference Championship game. Thanks to some trash-talking with San Francisco star Deebo Samuel earlier this season, 49ers players were quick to call Gardner-Johnson out after completing their come-from-behind victory at Levi’s Stadium.

The former Florida Gators defensive back tried to call “game” in the second quarter, even waving goodbye to 49ers fans with the Lions up 20-7. Of course, FOX’s camera caught Gardner-Johnson’s waving, which allowed the San Francisco stars to pile on even more.

“Deebo stiff-armed the s*** out his a**… all that talking,” cornerback Deommodore Lenoir said on Instagram Live after the win.

“Don’t be friendly when you see me,” Gardner-Johnson said earlier this season, in reference to Deebo Samuel. “Because I can guard you. You can’t run routes; you’re a running back.”

Samuel also chimed in after the game to troll the Lions’ safety. He wrote on X, “Somebody go check on lil bruh,” with laughing emojis. It appears the South Carolina alum got the last laugh.
