Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon could potentially miss Game 7 of a Western Conference semifinals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Gordon has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain that has put his status “in doubt.”

If Gordon were to miss, it would be a huge blow for the Nuggets as he had been one of their more productive players this series. He is averaging 14.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest across the first six games.

Gordon suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of Game 6, which the Nuggets won 119-107 to extend the series. It occurred during a loose ball as Thunder guard Alex Caruso dove for the ball and appeared to run into Gordon.

Gordon has had several big moments this series beginning with his game-winning 3-pointer in Game 1. He also made an overtime-forcing triple in Game 3, which the Nuggets eventually went on to win. The Nuggets are 5-0 this postseason when Gordon scores at least 20 points, and his seven assists in Game 6 are tied for the most in any game of his playoff career.

If Gordon is forced to sit out Game 7 due to injury, Denver will likely look to others such as Peyton Watson and Julian Strawther to step up. Strawther had a big performance off the bench in Game 6 to finish with 15 points on 3-of-4 from 3-point range.

Injuries have unfortunately been a struggle for Gordon this season as he was limited to just 51 games during the regular season. Denver will hope he is able to play through this one with tip-off for Game 7 scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma State wrestling coach David Taylor gives epic reaction to Nikola Jokic shot in NBA playoffs

Oklahoma State head coach David Taylor was caught on camera during the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Game 5 win over the Denver Nuggets. He was all of us!

In a wild affair during the Western Conference semifinals, Taylor witnessed an epic win by the Thunder, who are now one win away from the conference finals. But before celebrating the win, TNT cameras caught Taylor courtside reacting to a ridiculous Nikola Jokic shot.

Dribbling in traffic, turning around and then chucking it up for three, Jokic tied the game 103-103 with 1:39 left. The Thunder went on to win 112-105, but the crowd, including Taylor, was stunned.

We can only imagine that many people had the same reaction as Taylor, whether you were rooting for Denver or OKC. Coming off a successful year for the Oklahoma State wrestling program, Taylor witnessed more madness in the state.

Will he return to OKC for a Game 7? Maybe. If he does, hopefully, cameras realize the 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist is just as big of a sports fan as the rest of us.
