Aaron Rodgers claps back at reporter's question of Steelers' preparation after loss to Bills
Aaron Rodgers did not like a question a reporter asked after the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. During the post-game press conference, a reporter asked Rodgers if the Steelers’ performances in recent games have to do with how they prepare in practice.
“I know what you’re trying to ask, and I’m not going to go down that road at all,” Aaron Rodgers said after shaking his head. “I believe in the coaching staff, I believe in Mike Tomlin. That’s why I came here. Players need to take accountability, myself included. I will, and I will continue to. I got to play better.”
Rodgers completed 10 of his 21 passes for 117 yards in the Steelers’ 26-7 loss to the Bills on Sunday. Pittsburgh has lost its last two games and is now 6-6 on the year. Since having the bye week in Week 5, the Steelers have won three of their last seven games.
As much as the Steelers are struggling, they still have a good chance of reaching the playoffs. They are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North lead and will face their division rivals twice in the next five weeks.
Aaron Rodgers gives an update on his injury
Sunday’s game was tough for Rodgers, and not just because Pittsburgh lost. Early in the second half, Rodgers exited the game after taking a hit from Chargers pass rusher Joey Bosa. Rodgers’ nose was bleeding, and Mason Rudolph replaced him for one series.

“I hope it’s not broken, but yeah, just had to stop the bleeding,” Rodgers said after the game. “It was bleeding all over the place.”
Rodgers also shared his reaction to his performance in the loss. “Disappointed in my performance, disappointed in the offense’s performance,” he said. “We’ve got to flush this one. We’re 6-6, and we’ve got a game for the division lead this week.”
If one good thing happened for Rodgers on Sunday, it was that he made NFL history. The 41-year-old became the fifth player in NFL history to reach 65,000 career passing yards. Rodgers has 65,038 yards, and he is behind Brett Favre (71,838), Peyton Manning (71,940), Drew Brees (80,358), and Tom Brady (89,214).
