Carson Beck's Heisman Trophy odds plummet after 4-interception performance vs. Louisville

Following his four interceptions in Friday’s loss to Louisville, Carson Beck’s Heisman Trophy odds plummeted. He went from +350 earlier this week to +2500 immediately following the game, according to BetMGM.
Beck entered Friday’s game as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. He threw for a career-high four interceptions against Louisville as Miami fell to the Cardinals 24-21 at Hard Rock Stadium.
After the odds shift, Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson is the new Heisman favorite at +225, according to BetMGM. Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza has the second-shortest odds at +300 as of Friday night. Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is third at +1400.
Beck entered Friday’s game with three interceptions on the year, two of which came in a blowout victory over USF. Now, he sits tied with Cal’s Jaron Keawe-Sagapolutele and NC State’s CJ Bailey for the most in the ACC entering Saturday’s games.
Carson Beck completed 25 of 35 passes for 271 yards on Friday as Miami totaled 334 yards of offense. However, Louisville had 367 yards as a team and struck quickly in the first quarter to set the tone as Miller Moss led the charge. The USC transfer went 23 of 37 for 248 yards and two touchdowns as the Cardinals got their first win over a Top-5 team since 2016.
Isaac Brown led the running game for UL, taking 15 carries for 113 yards. Chris Bell emerged as Moss’ top target with nine receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns, as well.
