When Deion Sanders made his Colorado coaching debut in 2023, the Buffaloes headed to TCU to take on a Horned Frogs team fresh off a national championship appearance. Now, the two teams will square off again, and the opening point spread has been released.

The Horned Frogs opened as 14.5-point favorites over Colorado in the game, according to BetMGM. The over-under also opened at 57.5 points.

It’s shaping up to be a key game in the Big 12 race, especially after TCU suffered a loss to Arizona State late Friday night. The conference is looking like one of the most interesting in the country this year.

How to watch Colorado at TCU

Time: Oct. 4, 7:30 p.m. ET
Channel: FOX
Location: Amon G. Carter Stadium, Fort Worth, Texas

That 2023 matchup was the last time Colorado and TCU squared off. It served as a landmark moment for Coach Prime and the Buffs as they took down the Horned Frogs in a 45-42 thriller at Fort Worth. Shedeur Sanders threw for 510 yards and four touchdowns, including three to Dylan Edwards. Travis Hunter also had 119 receiving yards on offense while recording an interception on defense.

This time around, the two programs are conference rivals competing in a crowded Big 12. TCU looked like it was going to get a conference road win in a Friday night game at Arizona State, but the Sun Devils rallied late to eventually get the victory in Tempe.

Now, the stage is set for a matchup between Colorado and TCU in Fort Worth in Week 6. Both programs are looking to make some noise.
