Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is gaining a lot of interest around football at every level. He says that he has no interest in moving to the NFL level right now. However, he does have several NFL players who he loves to watch and would also like to coach.

Among the players who Sanders would love to coach or see play with his sons are Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Sauce Gardner.

“I would like that Cheetah [Tyreek Hill] to play with Shedeur [Sanders], now,” Deion Sanders told Taylor Rooks. “I would love that Cheetah. I would like Kelce to play with Shedeur and Shilo [Sanders]. That’s probably the two.”

“I would like to see Sauce on the other side with Travis [Hunter]. I would like that. But, you know, I have to stop right there because I don’t follow the NFL game like I used to when I was working in the NFL. I’m in the college now, so I’m that now. So, I don’t really watch the NFL too much.”

One player who Deion Sanders praised in particular is Travis Kelce. That love is both for how he plays on and how he holds himself off the field.

“Travis Kelce is it, man. I love everything about Travis Kelce, man. Travis Kelce is like a little brother to me. I’m serious. He’s like the guy I can call any time, ‘Hey, how you doing.’ I mean, always in a good mood and a dog that just dominates every weekend. He has the Je ne sais quoi off the field as well, and I love that. I love his brother [Jason Kelce] too, and his mom.”

Kelce has been making headlines off the field, with rumors that he’s become romantically involved with Taylor Swift in some way. It shows his confidence that he might ask out someone like Swift. It’s also that confidence that Sanders loves on and off the field.

Confidence is also one of the many reasons that Sanders loves Tyreek Hill.

“That Cheetah is, shoot, he’s so darn dominant, man, and he’s confident. First of all, you know I love all my Florida boys. You know that.”

Deion Sanders on coaching in the NFL

In that interview with Taylor Rooks, Deion Sanders made it clear that he has no interest in coaching in the NFL. At one point, Rooks said that she knows that Sanders doesn’t have interest in the NFL and he quickly jumped in to confirm this.

“No, I’m not,” Sanders said.

Beyond Deion Sanders, he even thinks that his sons Shedeur and Shilo will stay in college for some time before going to the NFL.

“It’s about a whole lot of other things, teams, position, round projection, all of that plays a role,” Sanders said. “Because now with NIL and who they are, shoot, you can make just as much money here [at Colorado] as you can there [NFL] unless you’re one of the first five picks.”
