Flau'Jae Johnson 4, LSU Tigers take on San Diego State in the first round of the NCAA Womens Basketball Tournament in Baton Rouge, LA. March 22, 2025.

Seemingly the entire basketball world has descended to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League. Getting a first look at some of the league’s top rookies while enjoying the city is quite the appeal. Flau’jae Johnson even got in on the action, sitting courtside.

The official NBA X account posted a short video of Johnson, even showing off some of her outfit. Nothing too flashy from the LSU star, rocking a red Los Angeles Dodgers hat to tie everything together. Johnson even got to show off her purse after the camera zoomed out a bit.

No better way to take in a basketball game than sitting courtside. You can check out the NBA’s full post and Johnson’s outfit here.

Some of the best projected rookies are in action on Saturday. At the time of the NBA’s post, the Philadelphia 76ers are going up against the Charlotte Hornets. Earlier in the day, No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg put together a great performance against the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 31 points while shooting 50% on 20 shot attempts.

A few other games pop up on the schedule as well. Most notably, the Los Angeles Lakers, headlined by Bronny James, are facing the New Orleans Pelicans. Plenty of options for Johnson to enoy during her own offseason.

But once Johnson is back in Baton Rouge, she is expected to be one of the top players in women’s college basketball. LSU was able to get her for one more season instead of declaring for the 2025 WNBA Draft. Had she left school, Johnson would be in the middle of her own campaign.

Last season saw Johnson average 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Her individual award lists throughout an impressive career continue to stack up. Johnson is a two-time member of the All-SEC team and was named a third-team AP All-American in 2024-2025.

LSU wound up playing in 34 games, reaching the Elite Eight. Of course, the Tigers wanted to compete for a national championship but fell two games short in the NCAA Tournament. You have to imagine that cutting down the nets was the highlight of Johnson’s career to this point. Getting another one appears to once again be the goal.

For now, Johnson will enjoy Summer League action. A more low-key outfit than usual, courtside seats are going to be tough to beat — no matter what level of competition is out there.
