Injury update on Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was able to practice fully all week and has no injury designation for Sunday against the Detroit Lions, according to Pro Football Talk.
The former Heisman Trophy winner went to the hospital to be evaluated for a throat contusion after last Sunday’s 25-22 overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers. The injury may have occurred when he took a big hit from Green Bay safety Darnell Savage in the second quarter.
Here is a clip of the hit below.
If Burrow wants to last in the National Football League, he’s going to need to learn to slide more in situations like the one above and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told him as much after the game.
Especially after suffering an ACL tear in his rookie season, it was surprising to see Burrow subjecting himself to hits like the one above in the open field. The ultra talented signal-caller needs to learn how to slide or get out of bounds. Otherwise, he simply won’t last.
That being said, Burrow’s connection with his old LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase has been everything everybody expected it would be this season. The two have displayed the remarkable chemistry that college football fans saw a few short years ago on one of the greatest offenses in college football history.

Check out this 70-yard strike Burrow fired to Chase on Sunday.
On Sunday, Chase joined elite company. There are only two players in NFL history age 21 or younger that have hauled in 400 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns in their first five games of a season. One of them is Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Randy Moss. The other? That would be Ja’Marr Chase.
Burrow’s numbers haven’t been too bad this year, either, but he’s got to clean up the interceptions. So far he’s completed over 71% of his passes, while tossing in 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.
His best game this season came against his old college head coach at Ohio State, Urban Meyer and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Athens, Ohio, native torched the Jags secondary to the tune of 348 passing yards, while tossing in two touchdowns and no interceptions.
The Bengals face the Detroit Lions on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST.
