Isaiah Bond‘s NFL agent is going on the offensive in defense of the former Texas receiver after Bond self-surrendered himself on a sexual assault warrant last week. Damien Butler, Bond’s representation, sent an email to all 32 NFL teams notifying them Bond’s attorneys have filed a counter complaint against his accuser, according to NFL.com insider Ian Rapoport.

“Earlier this evening, Isaiah’s attorneys at Nesenhoff & Miltenberg, LLP filed the attached complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas in response to the false allegation of sexual assault and defamatory statements made against him,” Butler’s email read, according to Rapoport. “Unlike the false narrative that has been amplified, the truth, once revealed in its entirety, will show that he was targeted by a woman eight years his senior, relentlessly pursued, enticed by explicit photos & videos and ultimately setup for financial gain.

“Isaiah, like most twenty-one-year-olds, must show a higher level of discernment in social media interactions and access, however, he is completely innocent of the allegations levied against him and will fight to clear his name. For (NFL) clubs that still feel his elite talent can help them win games for the next decade, he is eager to get back on the gridiron where he feels most at home.”

Bond was released on bond after turning himself into Frisco (Texas) Police last Thursday regarding an outstanding warrant for sexual assault. Later that day, Bond released a statement explaining the accusation, describing the claims as “patently false,” according to Rapoport.

“Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false,” Bond’s statement read, via Rapoport. “I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation.

“Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review.  I kindly request that all reserve judgement until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”

It’s clear Bond and his representation are working overtime to clear his name a week ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, where Bond is widely believed to be a potential Day 2 selection. Longtime ESPN expert Mel Kiper Jr. had Bond being selected in the second round of his two-round Mock Draft 4.0 released early last week.

Bond, who began his college career at Alabama, was a key member of Texas’ explosive offense last season, totaling 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns as the Longhorns made it to the College Football Playoff national semifinal. Bond also added four carries for 98 yards and a touchdown as a rusher.

While at Alabama, Bond produced his best collegiate season in 2023, when the then-sophomore racked up 668 yards and four touchdowns — including the famous fourth-and-31 game-winning score against Auburn in that season’s Iron Bowl — before entering the NCAA Transfer Portal following Nick Saban’s retirement.

Prior to his arrest, Bond also reportedly had visits scheduled with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans, according to KPRC-2’s Aaron Wilson.
