Jim, John Harbaugh visit White House after invitation from President Donald Trump

The Harbaughs went to Washington on Thursday. Jim and John Harbaugh visited the White House, according to a pool report from Politico’s Myah Ward.
President Donald Trump invited the brothers for the visit, a Los Angeles Chargers spokesperson told USA Today. No specific reason was given for the invitation, which comes as the Chargers and Baltimore Ravens are getting ready for training camp.
ESPN’s Kris Rhim also confirmed Jim and John Harbaugh’s families were with them for the visit with Trump, as well. Their parents, Jack and Jackie, were also in attendance.
Of course, the Harbaugh brothers visited the White House earlier in their respective careers. John Harbaugh made a trip at the request of former President Barack Obama after the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 and Jim visited in 2015 while serving as the head coach at Michigan.
Jim Harbaugh is gearing up for his second season as the Chargers’ head coach following an impressive debut year in Los Angeles. The franchise went 11-6 to make the NFL playoffs, falling to the Houston Texans in the first round. That came after Harbaugh led Michigan to the mountaintop as his alma mater won the college football national championship in 2023.

It’s also not his first time finding quick success as an NFL head coach. Harbaugh previously led the San Francisco 49ers to a 44-19-1 record over four years at the helm. Of course, it was the 49ers who took on the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.
John Harbaugh, meanwhile, is preparing for his 18th year as the Ravens’ head coach. He enters 2025 with a 172-104 record and is coming off a huge 2024 year. Led by MVP candidate Lamar Jackson, Baltimore went 12-5 overall to win the AFC North for a second consecutive year. The Ravens fell to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round.
Baltimore has been one of the more consistent teams in the NFL over the last decade. The franchise has made the playoffs six times in the last seven years, only missing out in 2021 with an 8-9 record.
The Ravens are scheduled to open training camp July 22, with rookies reporting July 15. As for the Chargers, they will get things started July 16 after rookies make their way to The Bolt July 12.
