ESPN just shared the latest injury update on Washington Commanders offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil on Monday night. During the broadcast, sideline reporter Laura Rutledge shared what happened with Tunsil in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“We are seeing that Laremy Tunsil is still in the locker room right now,” Rutledge said. “He’s questionable to return with a right hamstring injury. [Brandon] Coleman is out there. They have a lot of confidence in him. We’ll keep an eye on Tunsil’s return.”

Tunsil has started all eight games on the Commanders’ offensive line this season. He joined the team this past offseason when the Houston Texans traded him for multiple draft picks. Tunsil spent six seasons with the Texans and was selected to the Pro Bowl five times.

When Tunsil was traded to the Commanders, he spoke to reporters about protecting quarterback Jayden Daniels. “In my opinion, they traded for me for that reason, just to make a huge impact on the team,” Tunsil said, per the team’s official website. “I’m down to do whatever they want me to do, especially at Year 10. If they need me to play quarterback and back up Jayden Daniels, then I can do that — running back, whatever.”

Tunsil also talked about the Commanders reaching the NFC Championship game last year. “Just watching this team on film last year, a tremendous team, top to bottom, special teams, defense, offense,” Tunsil said. “I think [Adam Peters and Dan Quinn] put a great team together and just added a few more pieces, added myself. It’s only going to make it better.”

Laremy Tunsil began his NFL career in 2016 when the Miami Dolphins selected him in the first round (No. 13 overall) in the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Dolphins before the team traded him to the Texans.

Before entering the NFL, Tunsil was a standout offensive lineman at Ole Miss. He was selected to the All-SEC Second Team in 2013 and the All-SEC First Team in 2014 and 2015.
