Madden 26 reveals '99 Club Class' for new edition of video game

Madden 26 revealed it’s 99 Club Class for this year’s edition of the game Monday and there are seven players featured. A 99 rating is the highest you can achieve in the game and it’s reserved for the best players in the league.
The Philadelphia Eagles, who just won Super Bowl LIX, have two players: OT Lane Johnson and RB Saquon Barkley. Johnson, a future Hall of Famer, is one of the best tackles over the last decade and Barkley had a career year which included the most rushing yards in NFL history, factoring in the postseason.
The rest of the Madden 26 99 Club can be seen below. The five remaining players include two quarterbacks, two wide receivers and one defender.
QBs Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen were the recipients this year following fantastic seasons. Former LSU teammates Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson are two of the best WRs in the league and Myles Garrett rounded out the group as the face of pass rushers league wide.
The new edition of the annual video game is set for an August 14th release. Madden 26 ushers in the latest in gameplay and graphics for football video games.

It’s natural a guy like Barkley would be on the Madden 26 cover based on his 2024 season. Barkley ran for a career high 2,005 yards, 13 touchdowns and 5.8 yards per carry during the regular season. Adding in his postseason yardage, Barkley set the all-time rushing record (regular and postseason) with 2,504 yards.

He was a little quieter during the Eagles’ dominant 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Still, it didn’t make a difference. Barkley was a large part in the turnaround from 2023 to ’24 in Philadelphia.
So not only is he the cover athlete for Madden 26, Barkley got the 99 rating. He also had the highlight of the year, arguably, when he hit the backwards hurdle against the Jacksonville Jaguars last regular season.
However, Barkley isn’t satisfied. He got a taste of what it’s like to win, and now he wants to start a dynasty in Philadelphia: “I said after the game, ‘Why can’t our dynasty start now?’” Barkley said at a Raising Cane’s in Trevose, Pennsylvania.
“Probably had a little bit of champagne and other stuff in my system at the time. But you really can’t focus on that. You got to enjoy the moment. It’s hard to win one, and you take it in, enjoy the moment and start all over. It kinda starts over.”
