Shedeur Sanders has made plenty of headlines in the weeks since the Cleveland Browns ended his infamous 2025 NFL Draft slide in the fifth round. But, while most have been positive, the latest news involving the talented rookie quarterback out of Colorado has raised eyebrows around the NFL, including within his own family.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Shedeur Sanders was twice cited for excessive speed by Ohio police, including reaching 101 mph just after midnight last Tuesday. That followed a prior ticket for going 91 mph in a 65 mph zone on June 6, according to the Ohio State Patrol.

During a recent episode of Shilo Sanders’ Tampa Food Tour video series on YouTube, Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie safety Shilo Sanders didn’t miss a chance to take a dig at his younger brother’s lead foot.

“I know we out here in Tampa, (but) we got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here,” Shilo Sanders said with a laugh as he made his way to the Boulon Brasserie, a place he described as one of his favorite restaurants in Tampa.

Despite the shade, and recent speeding tickets, Shedeur Sanders remains in the mix within a crowded Browns quarterback room that also features former Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel, a 2025 third-round pick, and veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett. But should Sanders’ speeding continue to be an issue, the NFL legacy could find it impacting his future on-field opportunities in Cleveland.

Shedeur Sanders speeding violation: Body cam footage released from traffic stop

Following a traffic stop for doing more than 100 miles per hour in a 60 miles per hour speed zone, former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is facing either a fine or a fight in court. And body cam footage has emerged of the traffic stop.

Sanders was pulled over along with another woman, who was reportedly driving 92 miles per hour. Officers informed Sanders that he was driving 101 miles per hour and would be ticketed.

The officer appeared to note that the woman driving 92 would not be ticketed, but that his hands were tied a bit with Sanders due to having a dash cam. You can view the complete footage of the body cam below.

Sanders was stopped at approximately 12:24 a.m. on June 17, driving an SUV. Police asked for his identifying information, and the vehicle appeared to have Colorado tags on it, based on the conversation. Sanders’ license was a Mississippi one, and the officer explained the process for what could occur should Sanders ignore the ticket.

The entire conversation seemed friendly and cordial. Neither party raised their voices in the three minutes of body cam footage available.
