Sydney Thomas trolls Auburn, reveals how deep Alabama will go in 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket

As the NCAA Tournament’s official start grows closer, the official March Madness X account has been posting celebrity brackets. Social media star Sydney Thomas is just the latest, giving her Final Four predictions and eventual national champion. The selection is not too big of a surprise, going with her Alabama Crimson Tide.
Thomas did have some fun along the way with her picks. She picked Auburn to lose in the first round to Alabama State, who won Tuesday night in the First Four on a last-second shot. The Iron Bowl of Basketball is running deep, causing Crimson Tide fans to pick their in-state rival to lose in the one vs. 16-seed matchup.
Elsewhere, two double-digit seeds find themselves in the Sweet Sixteen in Thomas’ bracket. UC San Diego even advances to the Elite Eight before losing to Michigan State. Thomas believes VCU will see the second weekend but ultimately lose to Duke.
An all-SEC affair in the national championship, Alabama and Missouri from San Antonio would make for an entertaining national title game. You can check out the full bracket from Thomas here.
Thomas pulled off a similar move to Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams. He too decided to predict a first-round loss for Auburn but went one step forward. Williams said the same thing about Tennessee, taking Wofford over the Vols.

One thing Thomas and Williams agree on — Alabama will be the final team standing. Nate Oats says making the Final Four is the expectation after doing so last season. Soon, earning the program’s first national championship will be the baseline the folks in Tuscaloosa are striving for.
Nate Oats provides injury update on Alabama star Grant Nelson
Alabama lost star player Grant Nelson in the first half of Saturday’s SEC Tournament game against Florida. Questions instantly were asked about his status for the NCAA Tournament, especially since Nate Oats revealed it was a knee injury. Robert Morris is first up for Alabama, set to play on Friday.
Oats provided an update on Nelson Monday evening, saying the forward is “questionable” for the first-round matchup. The hope is to at least get him back for a potential Sunday game against Saint Mary’s or Vanderbilt.
“We need to get him healthy,” Oats said via Hey Coach. “Not sure he’ll be ready by Friday. We’re hoping, at a minimum, he’d be ready by Sunday with the possibility of Friday… We dodged one. It wasn’t anything too serious with his knee but will for sure be questionable for that first game on Friday.”
