Jacksonville Jaguars EDGE rusher Travon Walker underwent a successful surgery on his injured wrist and is considered day-to-day, according to first-year head coach Liam Coen, via NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. Coen also hasn’t ruled out Walker, the Jaguars’ No. 1 overall draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Georgia, as an option to play in Jacksonville’s Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 6-foot-5 and 272-pound fourth-year player was forced to leave last weekend’s 26-21 win over San Francisco in the second quarter with a serious wrist injury. Walker saw a wrist specialist on Monday and underwent surgery earlier this week.

Through what amounts to 3 1/2 games, Walker has tallied two sacks, five tackles and seven assists while providing the Jaguars a strong pass rush off the edge in his fourth professional season. Walker has been a stalwart along Jacksonville’s defensive line since being taken No. 1 overall in 2022, including making his 40th consecutive start against the 49ers, according to Jacksonville.com.

Walker has started 48 of his 49 career games in Jacksonville across his first three seasons. In that time, Walker has accumulated 162 combined tackles, 24 sacks — including 10 or more each of the past two seasons — five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Full video emerges on Liam Coen, Robert Saleh confrontation: ‘Keep my name out of your mouth’

New video of the postgame spat between first-year Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen and Robert Saleh, defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, has emerged. It provides new insight into what was said during the viral on-field dispute.

@ActionSportsJax posted a complete clip of the interaction between the two NFL coaches, with Coen blowing past Saleh as the former New York Jets coach was trying to shake his hand postgame. After bypassing the handshake, Coen turned around a few seconds later to tell Saleh to “keep my name out of your mouth.”

The feud between Coen and Saleh, who were two finalists for the Jaguars job this past postseason, took place after Saleh suggested Jacksonville uses a legal, “really advanced signal-stealing-type system” when talking about San Francisco’s preparation ahead of last Sunday’s game. Coen clearly took exception to Saleh’s comments and made his feelings known postgame.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan later addressed the blowup between Coen and Saleh. While admitting he didn’t witness it personally, he made it clear that Coen took what was said too sensitively.

“No, tried to clear it up, but I didn’t see what happened, so I’m not sure,” Shanahan said postgame. “Don’t think you should be that sensitive about it, but it is what it is. Not too worried about it.”
