Tyreek Hill reveals cryptic comments about future with Miami Dolphins

Tyreek Hill may have played his last game with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. While speaking to reporters after the Dolphins’ 32-20 loss to the New York Jets, Hill said he’s “out” and “opening the door” for himself.
“This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs. For me, like I said, I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family,” Hill said. “If that’s here or wherever the case may be. …I’m opening the door. I’m out bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I got to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to be just out here.”
In the loss against the Dolphins, Hill caught just two passes for 20 yards on three targets. The 30-year-old finished the 2024 season, with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. The yards total are Hill’s lowest since the 2019 season when he recorded 860 yards in 12 games with the Kansas City Chiefs. The TD catches are tied for the lowest of Hill’s career.

Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins agreed to a restructured contract
Hill just finished his third season with the Dolphins. In March of 2022, the Chiefs traded the eight-time Pro Bowler to the Dolphins, and he signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension. In August of 2024, Hill and the Dolphins agreed to a restructured contract. No years were added to the deal, but Hill’s guaranteed money was bumped up to $106.5 million. He is currently signed through the 2026 season.
In July, Hill talked about how much he loved playing in Miami and had no interest in being traded. I want to stay here in Miami because obviously this is where family is now. Everybody loves it here. Family loves it, wife loves it, kids love it,” Hill said, per ESPN. “So obviously I love it. I love playing for Coach [Mike McDaniel] and the team. My teammates are awesome so I wouldn’t want to leave. The fans are awesome, too. I just love how the fans hold us accountable every day on Twitter. So we’re getting better, I promise you. We’re not just sitting around drinking smoothies. We’re getting better.”
