That will change when they clash on Saturday. USC enters as 6.5-point favorites in the contest. The over/under is 59.5. All odds are courtesy of BetMGM.

This could be a bounce back spot for the offense and quarterback Luke Altmeyer, who was just 14-of-22 passing for 146 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s loss. He’ll take on a USC defense that has had its struggles under Lincoln Riley, but is in Year 2 under defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn.
The Trojans got off to a 3-0 start this season and its offense has looked electric as always under Riley. Quarterback Jayden Maiava has been extremely efficient, tossing for 989 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions while completing 68.9% of his passes. Considering Illinois just gave up five passing touchdown’s to Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, it could be a field day for Maiava and the Trojans.
USC leads the all-tie series 11-2 against Illinois. That includes the most recent matchup in 2008, when John David Booty led the Trojans to a dominant 49-17 win in the Rose Bowl. They’ll hope for similar results against the Fighting Illini this weekend.
