WATCH: Trevon Diggs gives props to former Alabama teammate Cam Sims after getting beat for a TD

The Alabama football fraternity is a very tight knit group and NFL fans saw that on display once again today. First, Washington Football Team receiver Cam Sims made one of the most amazing catches of the weekend over Dallas defensive back Trevon Diggs.
Check out the amazing catch here.
Washington’s quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, rolled to his left and uncorks a deep bomb to the end zone, where Sims leaps for the jump ball.
It was an amazing touchdown catch by Sims and he immediately raced down the sideline to let the Washington coaches know that he was certain he caught the touchdown.
Sims played his college football at Alabama and the ironic part is he made the incredible grab over his former college teammate, Trevon Diggs. Diggs has been having an amazing season and is in the thick of Defensive Player of the Year conversations.
After the play was over, Diggs showed good sportsmanship by going over and giving his former teammate props for the catch with a fist pound.

It shows football fans once again, just how tight knit the Alabama football fraternity truly is. It was a great act of sportsmanship by Diggs.
Cam Sims’ stats with Washington
Cam Sims nearly matched his season total in receiving yards today against the Cowboys. He pulled in three catches for 69 yards and a touchdown in the losing effort against Dallas. Coming into the game, he only had 81 receiving yards for the entire season. In 2020, he hauled in 477 receiving yards and one touchdown on 32 catches.
The Cowboys won the game 27-20. Things got much closer than expected towards the end, as Dallas was in control for most of the game. Washington outscored Dallas 12-0 in the fourth quarter to make things interesting, but it wasn’t enough in the end.
With the loss, Washington drops to 6-7 overall. Dallas moved to 9-4 overall with the win.
