  1. Ayden Williams flashes polish at Alabama-Mississippi All-Star practices

    Charles Power12/10/22

Ayden Williams showed why he’s the top wide receiver prospect in the state of Mississippi at Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game practices. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder has looked like one of the best route-runners in the 2023 cycle dating back to his junior season and off-season events. That skill set was on display once again in Mobile, as Williams was the top receiver on hand for either team. The Ridgeland (Miss.) product was able to create separation on a consistent basis. He’s advanced as a route-runner and understands how to read and set up defensive backs. Williams got vertical for a long touchdown on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, we saw him square off with Kelley Jones on several reps, winning one with a nasty inside move. Williams looks like a potential early contributor in Oxford given his technical polish.

  2. Ayden Williams a Top Performer at Under Armour Future 50

    Charles Power7/16/22

Ayden Williams stood out in the morning session as one of the top route-runners at Future 50. The Mississippi native is a smooth mover who is able to quickly change directions within his routes. Williams continued his strong showing in 7-on-7, coming down with several nice grabs in traffic. We saw him make a high-point catch within a crowd on a pass from Jackson Arnold. Williams followed that up with two touchdowns from JJ Kohl – the second coming on another contested grab where he took the ball from Malik Muhammad. Williams’ route-running, size and ability to come down the ball in tight confines lands him as a Top Performer.

  3. Ayden Williams Scouting Summary

    Primary
    Charles Power6/2/22

Physically-developed pass catcher who is one of the smoothest route-runners in the 2023 cycle. Measured at over 6-foot-2, 190 pounds prior to his senior season. Has a filled out build, particularly in his lower body. Highly productive on Friday nights, accounting for 1,256 yards and 15 touchdowns on 69 catches. A savvy, technical receiver who separates with change of direction within his routes. Has good feet. Beats corners on double moves. Physical and tough to bring down after the catch on Friday nights. Has soft hands. Performed well in 1-on-1’s against top cornerbacks at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp prior to his senior season. Has not shown top-end long speed to this point. While he has good ball skills, does not have overly long arms which can affect the catch radius in contested situations.

  4. Ayden Williams top performer Battle New Orleans

    Sam SpiegelmanNational Recruiting Analyst3/13/22

On300 WR Ayden Williams helped guide the Coastline Stars deep into the tournament on Sunday afternoon after making a splash on the tournament’s opening day. Williams, who is close to 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, has not only size but a major dose of explosiveness and smoothness to his game. He found holes in opposing defenses and consistently extended the play after the catch. Williams is very sure-handed and didn’t miss a beat hauling in passes over the middle or outside the numbers.

  5. Ayden Williams an On3 top performer at UA Next Atlanta Camp

    Charles Power2/27/22

Ayden Williams gets the nod as the top performer among receivers in large part due to his effortless ball skills. Williams had the best ball skills that we saw among all pass catchers on hand. The 6-foot-2 190-pounder is an effortless plucker of the football. He cruised through the gauntlet drill in impressive fashion and caught every ball we saw thrown his way with arms extended and soft hands. Williams also won a number of 1-on-1 reps. He is not a burner when it comes to top-end speed but showed some encouraging change of direction and quickness within his routes.
