Self-reported at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, though he measured in at around 6-foot-2.5, 171 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand at an offseason camp. Has a leaner build and will need to keep building out his frame. Registers as a plus athlete in the camp setting, clocking a shuttle in the 4.3 range and posting a vertical over 35 inches, and that athleticism shows up on film. Film Review Notes
Athletic passer with a live arm and untapped upside who looks more natural in live games than in camp settings. Flashes quality arm strength into the intermediate area and can drive it downfield, getting the ball out quickly in the RPO game and layering throws with good touch on deep balls that turn over. Mechanics and release have some rough edges that lead to inconsistency, and cleaning those up should result in more reliable accuracy. Moves well in the pocket, climbing to avoid pressure and hanging in to deliver through contact. Quick enough to escape rushers and make second-reaction plays with his eyes downfield. A capable runner on designed keepers and scrambles with more production likely available as he looks to take advantage of his athleticism.
