A pocket-first dual-threat quarterback with advanced feel for the position. Listed at an unverified 6-foot-0, 205 pounds, with a strong frame that he carries well. Has completed 63 percent of his throws for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns through five games this season. Comes from an athletic family and was a varsity baseball player as a freshman before taking over behind center. An accurate passer with plus anticipation and feel. Does a really nice job throwing his receivers open — there are several throws on tape where he delivers the ball to a spot on the field before his receiver…
Top Attributes
- Accuracy - Throwing with anticipation - Escaping pass rush and extending plays - Toughness
Areas to Develop
- Arm strength - More 'whip' in release
Film Review Notes
His biggest strengths are his poise under pressure, his ability to escape pressure and extend plays. A bit undersized in terms of height but has a strong frame, pushing 200 pounds, and isn't afraid to stand in and take a shot. Has a quick release and can get the ball out from different arm angles. Shows good mobility but doesn't run a ton in the offense. When he gets outside the pocket, he would rather beat you with his arm than take off running.
