Jackson is a versatile defensive back with the size and skill set to play anywhere in the secondary. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds but looks closer to 6-0 when you see him without pads on in 7v7 action. He does have some length to him with long arms and uses it well in press coverage. He’s a physical player who can bully opposing receivers at the line of scrimmage. Shows off a strong initial punch that can jar a receiver and knock him off his route. The physicality shows up in the run game as well, can get downhill…
Top Attributes
*Physicality in all areas *Tackles well in space *High compete level, extremely high off the field work ethic *Strong in press
Areas to Develop
*Improve long speed *Ball skills, turn it over when you have a chance *Poise at the catch point.
Film Review Notes
Versatile defensive back who can play corner, safety or nickel. Physical player who loves to hit and gets downhill in a hurry. Could transition to safety full time in college because of his frame and aggressive style. Polished corner skills, although he can be a little handsy at times. Excels in press when he can be physical and bully opposing receivers. Sticky in coverage but needs to work on hands and finishing the play when he has a chance to turn the ball over.
