The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday night in Green Bay with the opening round, which could feature as many as five Michigan Wolverines.

While he already had an impressive college resume, Donovan Edwards will go down in Michigan history for his performance in the 2024 College Football Playoff national champions game. Against Washington, Edwards became the first player with multiple 40-plus-yard touchdowns. It was an unforgettable performance that came in what was an injury riddled season. "It's up to you to be able to rise to the occasion and remember the down times," he said. "Of course I have the feeling of being flustered, frustrated, and I definitely have been working on that. I just feel like this year has been a blessing for me. I won a national championship game. I have three Big Ten championship rings. I just feel like regardless of how this year has gone for me, there has been a lot more blessings in what I've been going through beyond football. Even though I know I'm still going to be great at football." Heading into the 2024 season, Edwards is the also first – and only – player in Michigan history with a touchdown pass, touchdown catch and touchdown run of at least 75 yards in his career.
