Drew Cumby is a 2028 quarterback with football in his DNA and a lifelong exposure to elite competition. His father, Quentus Cumby, played Free Safety at the University of Kentucky, attended camp with the Green Bay Packers in 2003, played for the Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL in 2004, and later spent 15 years as a scout and assistant pro scouting director in the NFL and CFL. Drew’s mother, Liz Cumby, was a standout outside hitter for the University of Kentucky volleyball program.

Drew’s athletic lineage runs deep: his grandfather Brian McCaslin was a 5th-round draft pick as a pitcher for the Detroit Lions, while his other grandfather, Mack Cumby Jr., played football at the University of North Texas under Hayden Fry. His great-uncle, George Cumby, played at the University of Oklahoma under Barry Switzer. George was a 1st round draft pick in 1980 by the Green Bay Packers and inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2025.

Surrounded by high-level football knowledge and multi-sport athleticism, Drew brings a strong foundation, advanced understanding of the game, and a competitive mindset to the quarterback position.
