Woodard is one of the more polished receivers in the ’27 class. He’s advanced as a route runner and one of the most, ‘ready to play now,’ receivers in the country because of his polish and maturity. Plays with suddenness and flashes both short area quickness and the top end speed to get vertical. Excellent off the line and can create quick separation. Explosive in and out of his cuts and can turn a corner around with his ability to change direction. Soft hands and shows natural ball skills. Doesn’t fight the football and is able to quickly snag it and get up the field with little wasted motion. Shows the ability to pick up yards after the catch and has some shake and wiggle in the open field. Not exceptional in terms of size or strength but solid in those areas and highly competitive. Strong at the catch point, will work back for the football and has a great natural feel and IQ for how to play the position. Has the talent to be an early impact player at the college level with an NFL ceiling.
