Giovanni Tuggle pushed Casey Barner as the top defensive back at Rivals Camp Atlanta. Tuggle was an explosive, twitchy mover in defensive back drills, generating easy speed in his back pedal. His ability in man coverage during the 1-on-1 period caught our eye. Tuggle flashed the play speed to run with receivers and quickly broke on the ball to defend quick passes. Similar to Barner, he flashed impressive makeup speed, leading to a high level pass breakup when defending a vertical route. The 2028 four-star prospect lived up to the billing on Sunday.
