Isaiah Bond can be described in a number of different ways, but maybe the most fitting is clutch. Bond made one of the most iconic receptions in Alabama history with a miraculous game-winning catch against Auburn in the 2023 Iron Bowl. "He's a great receiver," Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe said. "What a great player, very explosive, detail-oriented. He's a team guy. And you know you can count on him when you need to make a big play. He always came through – clutch." Bond, a former four-star recruit from Buford High School in Georgia, transferred to Texas after two successful seasons as a star wide receiver at Alabama. Bond enters the 2024 season as a preseason second-team All-SEC pick. He amassed 48 catches for 668 yards and four touchdowns in 2023. “I think one thing that gets missed in a lot of this is we recruited Isaiah out of high school," Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said. "He was a kid out of Buford High School in Georgia and we recruited him hard. As you know, we love having those dynamic playmakers, those guys that can possess some speed, that can create space and create explosive plays."
