Film Review Notes

A senior interior defensive lineman at 6-foot, 280 pounds. He plays with a low center of gravity and a strong lower body. He joined the track team as a junior and throws the shot put. He also played both ways in 2025. He controls his spot well defensively. He roots in and can hold his gap against force. His initial hand placement is pretty good. He often can overpower his blocker at the point of attack and win with secondary effort. He knows how to disrupt blocks one-on-one, and he has a trusty submarine technique in short-yardage situations. He can split double teams with good wiggle, and he has a decent forearm shiver and flipper to ward off opponents. He's solid at getting off blocks and finding the football to make stops in the box. Needs more tenacity in his launch and get-off, a stronger strike, and heavier hands to knock blockers back. On his disengagements, he needs to do a better job extending blockers to create space with his initial punch. Though he controls the line of scrimmage well, he needs to penetrate more consistently. His pass rush moves and skill set remain to be seen. He's much more visible in impacting the run game.
