From Six Star Football: Jaylen Mack continues to prove he's one of the most complete and underrated running backs in Missouri's 2026 class. At 5'9 and 185 pounds, Mack brings a physical, downhill running style combined with the quickness and agility of a true all-purpose back. he recently turned heads with a strong performance at the FINALS, where he stood out among elite competition from across the country. During the event, Mack flashed his elite burst, sharp change of direction and strong receiving skills, showing he can be a threat in every phase of the offense. in 1:1 drills, he consistently created separation against linebackers, catching passes cleanly and finishing runs with authority. His FINALS performance confirmed what the film already shows - Mack is a dynamic weapon with next-level traits. Coming off a monster junior season, he put up 1,433 rushing yards, 394 receiving yards, and 29 total touchdowns, and dominating defenses in a variety of ways. He runs with excellent pad level an balance, frequently breaking tackles and extending plays after contact. Whether it's inside zone, outside stretch, or gap schemes, Mack shows vision and patience, allowing blocks to develop before exploding through the hole. He's not just a bruiser - he can take it the distance. 

What separates Mack from many of his peers is his versatility and his football IQ. He is a natural receiver out of the back field who can motion into the slot or line up wide offering real value in the passing game. His route running is polished for a back his age and his ability to track and secure the football in space was evident at the FINALS. He's also an instinctive runner with excellent lateral agility; making him dangerous in open space where he can force mis-tackles with ease. This off season, Mack will continue building his resume with camp invites from Kent State and Northern Iowa; giving him a prime opportunity to compete in front of college coaches and elevate his recruiting profile. With his blend of strength, speed and balance, he is built to carry a heavy workload at the next level. His production, athleticism and versatility all point to a back who can contribute early in a college system. As he continues to fine tune his game and improve his top end speed and add polish to his route tree, his ceiling will only rise. Jaylen Mack is a name to know and one that will likely be rising on recruiting boards very soon.
