Stokes is one of the top edge prospects out West and has the positional versatility to play anywhere along the defensive line. He’s a lean 6-foot-5, 240 pounds and could easily carry an additional 40-45 pounds with ease and slide inside if needed. He’s the son of a coach and has an advanced feel for the game. Can win with a variety of pass rush moves, is advanced with his hands and gets off the ball really well. Boasts an 80” wingspan, 10.5” hands and a crazy motor. Put up big numbers as a sophomore with 66 tackles, 29.5 for loss and 11.5 sacks. A highly competitive player and has a ton of physicality and edge in his game. Has improved athletically over the last year and looks noticeably quicker and more sudden in how he moves. With the physical traits, skill set and where his game is trending, Stokes has a huge ceiling and projects as a multi-year starter at the Power 4 level with an NFL upside.
