MARCUS BRANDON

Running Back / Athlete | Bishop Ireton High School | Class of 2029
6'1" | 200 lbs | RB/ATH | Bowie, Maryland

Marcus Brandon is a Class of 2029 running back and athlete at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Virginia. At 6'1", 200 pounds, Brandon combines size, power, vision, patience, and explosiveness to create a versatile skill set out of the backfield.

Brandon is a physical downhill runner who is comfortable working between the tackles but also possesses the acceleration and lateral quickness to create explosive plays in space. His running style is built around allowing blocks to develop, making decisive one-cut moves, breaking tackles, and consistently fighting for additional yards after contact. He also brings value as a receiver, giving him the versatility to contribute in multiple offensive packages.

As a sophomore in 2026, Brandon has emerged as a significant part of the Bishop Ireton offense. Against McKinley Tech, he carried the ball 24 times for 135 yards and a touchdown in a 40–30 victory. He followed that performance with 25 carries for 193 yards and two rushing touchdowns in Bishop Ireton's home victory over Ron Brown.

Brandon's development has also begun attracting attention on the college recruiting trail. His recruiting profile lists him as a Class of 2029 RB/ATH, and he has received early collegiate offers, including Syracuse University.

Beyond his physical ability, Brandon prides himself on leadership, discipline, preparation, coachability, and a team-first mentality. He has served as a team captain at multiple levels of youth football and carries the same competitive approach into the classroom and community.

With three high school seasons still ahead of him, Brandon is focused on continuing to develop into a complete running back while competing at a high level academically and athletically. His combination of size, vision, physicality, receiving ability, and work ethic makes him a young Class of 2029 prospect to follow.
