Personal Life
Marleigh has been recognized by Softball America as one of the Top 2027 outfielders. From Smithville, Mo, Marleigh now plays for the Tennessee Mojo 18U Ramsey/Fisher (National) after enjoying a very successful 3 year run with Top Gun 16U National. Known for her blazing speed, elite work ethic, and proven championship DNA, Marleigh has carved out a spot as premier player in the Class of 2027. She is a multi-sport standout for Smithville High School, owning Missouri Class 4 All-State, All-District, All-Region, and All-Conference honors in Softball and All District, All Conference in Track. She set the school record for single-season stolen bases with 48 as a Sophomore, breaking her previous school-record of 40 she set as a Freshman. Marleigh combines table-setting leadoff skills with "No Fly Zone" outfield range. Her “WIT—Whatever It Takes” mindset shows up every pitch: stretching routine singles into doubles, being an extremely dangerous 2-strike hitter and brings a joyful energy to every team she plays on. Over her 3-year history with Top Gun, Marleigh has scored an eye-popping 60%+ of the times she's been on base and owns elite-level Batting Average, OPS and OBP. She plays with a high softball IQ, demonstrates leadership the highs and lows and energizes her coaches and teammates. Off the diamond, Marleigh’s track résumé proves the wheels are real. She powered Smithville’s 4×100 relay to its first District title since 1998 in May of 2025, edging the field by one-tenth of a second. She also qualified for the 2024 Missouri State Track Meet. That raw speed translates directly to elite first-step quickness in centerfield and gap-to-gap coverage few peers can match. Academically, she carries Academic All-State recognition and a 4.06 GPA (4.0 unweighted) while juggling AP coursework, leadership roles, and community service projects. Coaches praise her as “hyper-coachable, relentlessly positive, and the spark everyone feeds off.” She comes from a strong and supportive family. Her brother, Maverick, plays college baseball at Ottawa University in Surprise, AZ. Her mother ran track in middle school. Her father played college baseball and coached for 24 years. She loves spending time with her husky named Princess Royal Sparkle.
