Team USA's Mia Ennis Named to All-World Team at WBSC U15 World Cup in Italy

Metairie Park Country Day softball star Mia Ennis, a rising sophomore and a top nationally ranked player, was named to the All-World Team at the WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup in Caronno Pertusella, Italy, after a stellar performance for Team USA, which included 8 hits, .421 AVG, 2 RBI, 6 runs scored, 2 stolen bases and two walk-off winning plays all while dominating left and center field in games which were televised internationally by GameTime.Sport. Team USA won the bronze medal after defeating Mexico, 4-0, in the Bronze Medal Game of the WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup. Japan defeated Peurto Rico, 4-0, for the World Cup Title. Team USA lost to Japan 3-2 in the Super Round, then Team USA lost to Peurto Rico, 4-0, in the Super Round. Team USA went (7-2) at the World Cup in Italy. In the much-anticipated Super Round matchup between Team USA and Japan in the World Cup, Ennis tied the game at 2-2 in the 5th inning with an RBI single as the stadium erupted. Mia went 3-3 against Czechia, including the walk-off game winning double to secure the run-rule victory. Ennis stole home for the walk-off win against Mexico in the Super Round. Mia had crucial hits against Mexico, Canada, Japan, Singapore, and Chinese Taipei during the World Cup. In March 2025, Team USA won the gold medal at the U-15 Women's Softball Pan-American Championship in Acapulco, Mexico, which qualified Team USA to advance to the U-15 Women's Softball World Cup in Italy. Ennis is also a 3x USA Softball All-American. In 2023, Extra Inning Softball ranked Ennis as the #3 outfielder in the nation in the Class of 2028, and the #1 overall outfielder in the Southwest Region, which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Arizona, and New Mexico. Ennis is a 3x All-District Softball player for Metairie Park Country Day, having made varsity All-District as a 7th grader, 8th grader and freshman. She was named honorable mention All-State as an 8th grader. Ennis has played softball since she was 8-years old, and plays travel ball for Louisiana Voodoo, a Kenner, Louisiana based softball travel organization founded in 1997 by Jessie Barksdale, that has sent more than 300 players to collegiate softball scholarships. Ennia is a speedy slap hitter, who consistently beats out quick bunts and slap hits and she can also hit for power. At a recent LSU Softball Elite Camp, Ennis was clocked a 2.5 seconds from home-to-first base.
