Safety

Baker is one of the most complete safeties in the country. Offers a lot of positional versatility to play anywhere in the secondary and even some in the box because of his size and play style. Put on good weight over the last year and looks all of 6-foot-2 and pushing 210 pounds. Still projects at safety but playing as a hybrid safety/linebacker is a strong possibility as well. Still Rangy with good ball skills and cover instincts. Smart, high IQ safety who always seems to be around the football. Physical player who can get downhill in a hurry and loves to hit. Attacks the line of scrimmage and has the athleticism to make plays sideline to sideline. Can jump routes and is strong after the catch. Has played some running back and returns punts and kicks but his future is on defense. Former hooper who played above the rim and has some bounce and suddenness in how he moves. Tough, highly competitive player and a natural leader who looks like a future captain. Strong all around profile and skill set should allow Baker to see the field early at the college level and his ceiling is a mid to high NFL draft pick.
