2026 DL Jocques Felix decommits from Iowa State
Saint Louis Cardinal Ritter Prep three-star defensive lineman Jocques Felix announced on Wednesday morning that he’s decommitted from Iowa State.
He was pledged to the Cyclones since Oct. 19, but is now opting to look elsewhere with National Signing Day just one week away. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder announced his decision via X:
“Thank you to the entire Iowa State family for the love, support, and belief in me. This decision did not come easy, but after conversations with my family and mentors, I have decided to decommit and open my recruitment back up. I wish the program nothing but success moving forward.”
Felix is the No. 152 defensive lineman and No. 24 recruit in Missouri in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,607 prospect overall.
He leaves Iowa State with 22 commits in its 2026 class. He was one of three listed D-line prospects in the fold for head coach Matt Campbell and the ISU staff.
Felix chose the Cyclones just nine days after announcing an offer from the Big 12 program. He began to draw plenty of intrigue this fall, also adding offers from Cincinnati, Kansas State and Michigan State.

Iowa State loses piece to 2026 class
The Cyclones currently have the nation’s No. 54 class this cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for No. 12 in the Big 12, ahead of just Cincinnati, UCF, Colorado and Oklahoma State.
Of the 22 commits, only one is in-state — but it’s a big one. Ames Dowling Catholic wide receiver Jeffery Roberts has been in the class since Jan. 7 and his stock has risen this fall. Per the Rivals300, he’s now a four-star recruit and checks in as the No. 36 pass-catcher this cycle.
Despite the lack of in-state pledges, Campbell and Co. have still raided neighboring states, especially Nebraska. The Cyclones have six commits from the Husker State, five of whom are top-10 players in the state: Lincoln North Star three-star safety Tyrell Chatman, Omaha Millard South three-star WR Amarion Jackson, Omaha Central three-star safety Kaprice Keith, Elkhorn North three-star linebacker Barry Fries and Omaha Westside three-star safety Bryson Williams.
Fort Collins (Colo.) three-star offensive tackle Mason Bandhauer, Chicago Lane Tech three-star defensive lineman Daniel Howard, Edison (N.J.) Piscataway Township three-star cornerback Josiah Zayas, Pratt (Kan.) three-star tight end Arley Morrell and Minnetonka (Minn.) three-star running back Caleb Francois are among the other commitments in the mix for Iowa State this cycle.
