2026 Top-25 recruit Chris Washington Jr. hearing from 8 schools the most

Chris Washington Jr., one of the top prospects in the Southeast, says he is currently hearing from eight schools the most (in no particular order): Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Cincinnati, USF, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Western Kentucky.

The 6-foot-7 four-star small forward out of Providence Christian (TN) is the No. 24 overall recruit in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 10 small forward and the No. 1 player in Tennessee.

On3’s Jamie Shaw is higher on him, ranking him 17th nationally.

Three schools have hosted him for visits to this point: Tennessee, Cincinnati, and Florida State.

In addition to the schools listed above, Washington also holds offers from Texas A&M, Missouri, West Virginia, Michigan, Louisville, Clemson, Maryland, and others.

“I’m basically a big guard,” Washington told On3’s Jamie Shaw in a previous interview. “I’ve gotten a lot stronger since last season and my shot has gotten better. I watch a lot of KD (Kevin Durant), he is my favorite player; I like his pull-up, it’s just clean. I try to put that into my game, because I’m 6-foot-8, and I’m long, so I know it would make my game even more effective if I hit those.”

Washington also discussed with Shaw what he’s looking for in a school:

“I want to go somewhere that feels like a family,” Washington said. “So, I’m going to be looking at that. And I want to play early, so I want to go somewhere I’ll play right away. How they play will be big for me, I like playing fast and playing on the wing. Location won’t matter to me as long as it feels like family there.”
