2027 4-star OT Li'Marcus Jones backs off his pledge to Ole Miss

Ole Miss offered Li’Marcus Jones last fall. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle out of Callaway (Miss.) committed to the Rebels a few months later. He has been committed to the in-state school since March, but the four-star has decided to open his recruitment back up and explore his options.
“I decided to decommit from Ole Miss because I felt I committed too early,” Jones told On3. “I want to get to know the coaches better and I want to see Ole Miss as a team and how they are as a family and what the culture is like.”
The No. 197 prospect in the 2027 On3 Industry Ranking has started to get out and see different schools. He has 15 offers and he has visited Alabama, Duke, Mississippi State, North Carolina and Tennessee. He has trips to LSU and South Alabama on his radar.
The recruitment is back open, but some schools have his attention and he knows what he is looking for moving forward.
